Balkrishna Doshi Vithaldas (1927) is an Indian architect, which is considered an important figure in the & rsquo; architecture in South Asia and noted for his unfathomable contribution to the & rsquo; evolution of architectural discourse in India. He is known for his contributions to the & rsquo; architecture of the & rsquo; Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. After working for four years between 1951-1954 and Le Corbusier in Paris , BV Doshi returned to Ahmedabad to oversee projects of Le Corbusier. Son study, Architectural Kshilp (environmental design), was created in 1955. Doshi worked closely with Louis Kahn and Anant Raje , when Kahn designed the campus of the & rsquo; Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad . In 1958, he was a member of the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts . He then started the & rsquo; d & rsquo school; architecture (SADDLE) in 1962. Doshi is a member of the & rsquo; Royal Institute of British Architects and served on the selection committee of the Pritzker Prize, the National Center for Arts Indira Gandhi and the Aga Khan Award d & rsquo; architecture . He is also a Fellow of the & rsquo; Indian Institute of Architects.

Computer-assisted planning facilities have been used to solve the unorthodox design of the structure. A simple wire mesh floor and mortar was used in place of & rsquo; a traditional foundation.

Hussain Doshi Gufa is an underground art gallery located in Ahmedabad representing the works of the famous Indian Painter Doshi
We decided to create an underground space with large climate benefits. We were both eager for the challenge as hundreds of sketches and models led to a curvilinear space filled with diffused light coming from the eyepieces above. It was impossible to & rsquo; hang a canvas, so Hussain created his art after we gave him a model of the ceiling, and manufactured plywood cutout figures that & rsquo; he strategically placed. It received the name of Gufa, because its structural design resembles a cave.
For lovers & rsquo; s, Hussain Doshi gufa is a feast for the eyes. The Hussain Doshi Gufa art gallery in Ahmedabad is located near the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology. This structure was built in & rsquo; d & rsquo assistance; simple hand tools and also by unskilled workers.
In addition to its international reputation as an & rsquo; architect, Dr. Doshi is also recognized as educator and creator of & rsquo; institutions. It was the first founder of the & rsquo; d & rsquo school architecture & rsquo; Ahmedabad (1962-1972), first founding director of the & rsquo; planning school (1972-1979), first Dean of Planning and Technology Center of the & rsquo; environment (1972-1981), founding member of the Visual Arts Center, Ahmedabad and founder of first Kanoria Arts Center, Ahmedabad. Dr. Doshi has played a key role in & rsquo; establishment of the Vastu-Shilpa Foundation for Studies and Research in Environmental Design, a research institute known nationally and internationally. L & rsquo; Institute did pioneering work in housing cheap and & rsquo; urban planning. As that & rsquo; academician, Dr. Doshi visit the United States and’ Europe for 1958 and has held senior positions at US universities.

The ingenious design of the & rsquo; architect Balkrishna Doshi renamed had a great impact on the formation of the & rsquo; industry and its thought processes. To celebrate his valuable contributions to the & rsquo; industry and the world, its designer granddaughter Khushnu Panthaki Hoof hosted "Celebrating & rsquo; habitat: the real, the virtual, l & rsquo; imaginary ", an exhibition modeled on the principles of & rsquo; famous architect.
Presented at the gigantic Power Station Gallery of Art in Shanghai, l & rsquo; exhibition "will play with the configuration of the scale installations to create a different experiential landscape that changes the perception of & rsquo; space of the gallery», explains Khushnu. “Furthermore, the specific music composed by installing Kabeer Kathpalia adds another dimension to the experience” modern Indian “for works of art for the Chinese public.”
