New Amazon campus is part of a wider push to increase its footprint in his hometown. The geometric pattern of the steel is called "Catalan skin", model-based math numbers. the orbs, or biospheres such as Amazon calls, house over 300 species of plants, according to the report. Many of them are endangered species, so will all the orbs conservation as a workspace. Amazon has a horticulturist on staff to find plants that work in a cool, dry environment that is comfortable for the man rather than a greenhouse frame as hot and humid. GeekWire has been followed by the construction of glass orbs in the past year.

In the report, Amazon offers new details on his plans and reasons for the construction of structures. The idea for the plant filled orbs got out of internal research showing that employees need a connection to nature. Amazon has avoided the benefits of the giants of technology rivals, deciding instead to focus on its urban campus as its main equipment to attract and retain top talent.

The architecture firm NBBJ, also responsible for Google campus, has presented a model of what could be the new site.




 




This is the shape of the future as the Amazon biospheres come together on Lenora Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. The structure would include five floors of flexible workspace totaling 65 000 square feet and would be "able to accommodate mature trees", according to the plans filed with the city. The spheres would reach the height of 80 feet 95 feet.

The Ficus rubiginosa – christened “Ruby” happens outside the Amazon Spheres after his career in California. planted 1969, Rubi now 55 feet high, 22 feet wide and weighs 36 000 books. Five other trees will be planted in a similar way in the summer 2017. Once finished 2018, spheres will be featured for meeting rooms of tree houses, rivers and waterfalls, a boardroom green bird nests, an environmental fog and a four story living wall among other features designed to surprise and delight.
