2D3D Egg Project – Netherlands (2012)
An Orange tinted leafy "My Green World", an orange egg as the Dutch flag by 2D3D, Floriade 2012 – L & rsquo; Architecture envelope a pavilion shaped & rsquo; baptized egg. The project took only 6 months from conception to the & rsquo; completion using wooden elements roboticly precut with a resultant woven exterior reminiscent d & rsquo; a seed. The building was commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, s & rsquo; agriculture and & rsquo; innovation for the Floriade 2012 Expo in Venlo, in the Nederlands. L & rsquo; car – bearing wooden sphere is 15 meters high, 35,2 meters long and 14,4 meters wide.
The units were constructed off site as "cartridges and assembled into a grid & rsquo; self – load-bearing. All the wood is harvested sustainably. The bundles of wood and plywood stained skin strands is checkered with large windows everywhere.
Located south solar structure is uniformly daylit and informed by’ LED lighting in the night. A floor supported separately entered so a raised deck.
As a big glitch d & rsquo; orange parlaying its environmental message of the color reflects the relationship between the Netherlands with bright color. At & rsquo; origin of the color of the & rsquo; orange royal family has become a popular brand of Dutch society testifies in wealthy circles 30 in & rsquo; national football team. The program 1200 square meters contains Dutch environmental innovation displayed and will be turned into offices after the & rsquo; exhibition.
