When it opens its doors in 2019 in the heart of Los Angeles, at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will be the world's first film museum. “Los Angeles was, and still remains to some extent, one of the capitals of film production, It therefore seemed natural to open a major museum there to bring the heritage of cinema to life.”, sums up Kerry Brougher, museum director, project led by the Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences, the one that awards the prestigious Oscars every year.
